We’ve had a lot of wedding and corporate inquiries lately, which means much of my time is spent describing our
property to prospective clients. Here at the Inn at Willow Grove we have so many amazing, unique spaces that you
can utilize for your event! Many of our prospective clients are unable to come for a site visit, so allow me to give you
a virtual tour of our event spaces with my words.
The Inn at Willow Grove has twenty five unique yet similar rooms. Over half of those twenty five are considered
suites given their size. We also have a four-star restaurant with a private dining area known as the Chef’s Tables.
The Chef’s Tables can accommodate parties of up to 18. It is a long, slender room with french doors that open to a
private patio with fire pits. Upstairs from the Chef’s Tables is The Hall, our corporate event space. The Hall can
accommodate up to 52 seated. It has glass windows on two sides, flooding the space with natural light. The back
wall houses a functioning gas fireplace. Most often the screen is set up in front of this fireplace (which remains off in
that scenario!). We can configure seating in U-shapes, classroom style, boardroom style or even octagonally. The
Hall has private bathrooms and its own wifi connection.
Directly out back from The Hall is the Boxwood Garden. The Boxwood Garden is a semi-private garden complete
with a pergola and surrounded by boxwoods. The only access is via a brick patio aisle. Naturally, this is used as our
wedding ceremony site. For those clients who wish to have their wedding ceremony inside, The Hall is available for
smaller parties. I’ve had a few clients inquire about hosting cocktail hours or dinners in the Boxwood Gardens, and
while it is possible, I wouldn’t recommend it given the logistics required to serve a meal so far from our kitchen. The
slate patio adjacent to The Hall is where I’d recommend hosting a cocktail hour, weather permitting.
Social events such as weddings or holiday events often host their dinners in The Barn. The Barn is actually not at all
a barn, though it is red so I guess that’s where it got its name! The Barn is a fully enclosed building complete with
two bathrooms and a catering kitchen. It accommodates up to 200 seated. We provide tables, chairs, linens,
flatware and glassware for up to 150 guests--events going over that number are welcome to rent those items to
accommodate their large headcount.
Adjacent to The Barn we have The Ruins. The Ruins are so named for the stone ruins that serve as the foundation
of this open-air tent. The stone ruins are original to the property, circa 1778, and they were moved to their current
location. The Ruins are most often used for the dancing portion of wedding receptions but I encourage corporate
clients to utilize this space for dinners or cocktail parties. Given that The Ruins has a tent overhead, you have the
option to utilize this outdoor space rain or shine.
Speaking of outdoor spaces: I need to draw attention to the pool at Mill House Spa! Mill House Spa is our full-service
spa located on-site. It has three private treatment rooms, a fitness center, two locker rooms and a relaxation room.
Directly out back is an adults-only saltwater pool. The pool deck has a fixed, covered bar and it is great for casual
cocktail parties or small dinners. I draw attention to the pool for corporate and social groups alike. It is a wonderful,
unique space in the warmer months.
