The air carries something warmer now, something restless. And beneath the soil of Virginia's fog-swept hills, old stories are clawing their way back to the surface.

On February 18 (closed) and now on April 23 at 8 PM, the Inn at Willow Grove will open their doors to a gathering of the brave and the curious. Inside the historic Barn, the firelight will flicker against old stone walls as we step together into the Refiner's Fire — because what was meant to destroy them became the very crucible that provide our wisdom today.  This is a sophisticated blend of education and intrigue that peels back the comfortable myths of colonial America to reveal what actually happened. 

And what happened will raise the hair on the back of your neck. 

This is the story of the Witches of the Mid-Atlantic. The real story. The documented accusations, the trials, the terror that gripped entire communities. You'll meet the Witch of Pungo — a woman whose name still haunts the tidewater — and you'll understand, perhaps for the first time, why your ancestors were so afraid. 

April's gathering arrives as the season turns. Spring has always been a time of renewal, of shaking off the dark and stepping into the light. But renewal requires honesty. It demands we look backward before we move forward — that we sit with the uncomfortable truths the land has been holding for centuries.
